Ciumbetone

Ciumbetone- my favourite character in the complete comic:

An italian Pizza- delivery employee who accidentally runs into an art class , trying to paint a very nervous naked woman: His wife.

The narrator tells the story as a member of that class, complaining that the model couldn´t stand still, always was in motionwhich made it virtualy impossible for the students to draw her.

As Ciumbetone comes in to deliver some pizza and gets aware of what his wife is doing in his absence, he takes out a gun and shoots her immideately, just as most people would consider a jealous man from the south to do.

Right after that, sorrow is taking him apart and he decides to blow his head off, too.

At the end of the scenery, everything is absolutely silent, but not as the narrator and his fellow students might have desired.

The comic hero´s essential appearance fulfils every clichee or type of prejudice people might have, concerning mafia- type Italians. Brilliantly drawn, a true masterpiece.
