Clay McHenry was a corrupt cop who got blinded during an illegal transaction. As the uncle of Geoff McHenry, he was visited by Gilad Anni-Padda (The Eternal Warrior) who offered him the Book of Geomancers. Touching it, he gained the Geomancer ability to use the energy to commune with earth to help protect the planet.
