Major Story Arcs
Having scoured Peru with his partner Neal Vernow, Cliff finally finds Chicalmo. The men are immediately beset by locals and taken captive. They await execution for many days. They are finally taken to the top of a temple. Cliff watches as Neal is stabbed over and over again by the young flame goddess. He is surprised to see that Neal has received no harm. The flame goddess convinces the people that Cliff and Neal must be gods and a feast must be thrown to appease them. They are taken to the flame goddesses room where she reveals that she is Neal’s sister Shelia. It is presumed that the three stay in Chicalmo.
