Conan O’Brien

Conan had The Tonight Show for about a year, but early in 2010 NBC management wanted to take Jay Leno off of his fledging primetime program and put him back on the late night schedule. This did not sit well with Conan, as he did not want The Tonight Show to be delayed into airing early the next morning, just so Jay Leno could have a 30 minute program starting at 11:35 p.m. Eastern and Pacific time. Hence, there was a parting of the ways between Conan and NBC and Jay Leno ended up back at The Tonight Show.
