Origin
An overweight and obsessive sci-fi nerd with a souped-up remote control that allows him to manipulate reality and electronics. It is never stated exactly where he acquired this remote but he may have actually have created this technology himself. He is the self-appointed nemesis to the Teen Titans with a disturbing tendency to break the Fourth Wall. They view him as a petty annoyance and a “major dork”.
Creation
Created exclusively for the Teen Titans animated series, it is said that Control Freak was born from an unused idea of Dwayne McDuffie when he was writing the Impulse comic book series. His general appearance and vocal patterns were inspired by the Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons TV series.
