Brief History
Corkscrew tried out for the X-Statix team, and, in the tryouts, killed his opponent by drilling his fingers through his opponent’s chest. Though Corkscrew was qualified, the Spike realized that Corkscrew’s mutant gene had made him crazy and therefore unreliable. Doop then took Corkscrew out in the woods alone and “took care of him” by chopping him up with an axe.
