Willie “Crazy Horse” Lincoln was Maya Lopez‘s father, and was one day killed by Wilson Fisk the Kingpin, his boss. As he died, Crazy Horse left a bloody handprint on his young daughter’s face, and with his dying breath wished for the Kingpin to raise Maya well. Fisk honored this wish, and cared for Maya as if she were his own.
Years later though when Maya asked Fisk how her father died, Fisk told her that Daredevil was the one who had killed him in order to use her to eliminate his long-standing adversary.
Crazy Horse claimed his namesake came from the fact that he was Cheyenne. Fisk believed it simply came from the fact that he was crazy.
