When his reporter-father is slain by the Nazi, IronJaw, and his mother Joan dies when her boat is sunk by a U-boat, young Charles “Chuck” Chandler devotes himself to destroying the Nazis and Ironjaw.Â
In his first encounter with the Nazis, Chuck happens to be wearing his hockey uniform which, with the addition of a cape, becomes his costume to wage war as Crimebuster.Â
When Ironjaw finally dies, Chuck continues battling injustice, often in tandem with District Attorney Loover. Crimebuster has no girlfriend, just a pet monkey named Squeeks.
