Member of the Russian super-team Winter Guard while they were investigating the assassination of the Abomination in Russia. He later helped War Machine to combat Skrull forces during the Skrull Invasion of Earth. Seeking political asylum, he flew to the USA and joined Red Hulk‘s Code Red team. He died while battling the mutated monster Igor Drenkov, who devoured him.
