Cyrano Jones

Origin

Cyrano Jones is a trader and huckster who overloaded the Starship U.S.S. Enterprise and the Spacestation K-7 with Tribbles.  The Tribbles became so populace that they became a nuisance and he was sentenced to nearly twenty years removing the Tribbles.  He was able to do it sooner when he stole a Glommer.  
 
The Glommer was a genetically engineered animal that ate Tribbles.  This made Jones an enemy of the Klingon Empire.  Fortunately for Jones the U.S.S. Enterprise interfered again and returned the Glommer to the Klingons.
