Dan Dare

Origin

Dan Dare was born in Manchester, UK, and was the son of Captain McGregor Dare, chief test pilot for Cosmic Spaceships.

Creation

Dan Dare was created by Frank Hampson and first appeared in Eagle #1(01) (1950).

Hero of the Spaceways

In adulthood, Dan became known as Colonel Daniel McGregor Dare, Space Fleet’s chief pilot and most decorated son.
