Cobb is an agent for the secret society known as Danse Macabre. He originally ran missions for the group’s founder, Sabastian (whom admittedly, Cobb did not trust), and later accepted assignments from Mordecai Pendragon.
One such assignment involved the acquisition of a powerful mystic tome known as the Lazarus Book, which Mordecai required, as it contained a spell that could resurrect Vampirella.
