Darius Williams is the creation of DC writers Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray.
Origin
Darius Williams is the son of music producer, Reymon Williams. Darius is also the best friend of Lucien Gates, The Ray. Darius is a fellow life guard of Lucien and was present during his transformation into The Ray. Lucien called Darius from Seattle and told him to meet at his parents house. Darius helps cover for Lucien at work while he is away battling different threats to the city.
