Other than being shorter in height, the Deacon resembles the evil bald-headed man from the Poltergeist films.
Deacon also appears in Captain America 260, in which he tries to organize a escape from Riker’s Island to coincide with Cap’s breakout (which was arranged to test the security of the prison). However, Deacon and the other inmates find themselves physically unable to duplicate Cap’s actions and are captured by the prison guards.
