Creation

Deathspawn was created by Daniel H. Wilson,Marguerite Bennett,Mike Johnson, and Robson Rocha. He first appeared in Earth 2: World’s End 16.

Origin

After exterminated the Martians, Darkseid was struck by a female Martian who refused to die which was saddened by the loss of her child. Then he offered to give her another child , whose power could destroy entire worlds.

Major Story Arcs

World’s End

After the defeat of the Four Furies Deathspawn was finally born and made it’s way to the Enclave,home dimension of the Parliament that surrounds the planet’s core.

Althought Earth-2 Parliament being no corporeal beings he managed to defeat them all causing their avatars lost their powers,less Green Lantern who is summoned to face the creature but his attacks proves to be ineffective against him. Deathspawn manages to penetrate Earth’s core and revealed that his goal would be to seed the planet so that it could be consumed by Apokolips.

shortly after he is seen covering dozens of cities with molten magma, terraforming the planet.

Powers & Abilities

• • Superhuman Agility
  • Superhuman Strength: He is extremely strong to the point of defeating the whole Earth 2 Parliament and break the Enclave with bare hands.

  • Shape-Shifting: Deathspawn can alter his bodily mass and physical constitution at will to take any shape he wish,even shown to use his shape shifting abilities offensively as turning parts of himself into bladed weapons.
  • Intagibility: He is able to lower the density of his own mass to become intangible.
  • Regeneration
  • Dimensional Travel: He has the ability to cross dimensions as demonstrated when reached the Enclave, a location that is nowhere to be found on physical plane.
  • Death touch: Deathspawn can infect anything that comes contact with as elemental entities as the Parliament of Earth. He can also corrode the living heart of an entire planet to the point of self-annihilation.
  • Energy Absorption (Possibly): Green Lantern’s blast hasn’t the slightest effect on him and seems to make it stronger.
