Origin
Desert Fox is, as his name suggests, a fox living in the desert, specifically in Africa during World War II. Always on the lookout for food, the fox constantly tries to steal from both Allies and Axis forces, sometimes coming a cropper but other times succeeding. Often he inadvertently assists the Allies with his antics, though on the odd occasion he ends up unintentionally helping the German forces win a victory; it is all the same to the Desert Fox so long as he gets to eat well.
Creation
Desert Fox debuted in the Shake section of the first issue of Shiver and Shake, dated 10th March 1973. His series came to an end a few issues before Shiver and Shake was cancelled.
