Diableri had lived in this universe when it was young. Diableri was given the responsibility of bringing all chaos to order. As they carried out their tasks the Proemial Gods became less and less needed and they began to fade from existence. Diableri was strongly opposed to this and so he created the Chaos Mites to be his eyes and ears throughout the universe so he could find a way to survive. He then planned to kill Galactus and restart the universe with him in control. He led the other Proemial Gods in battle with Galactus. They lost and the survivors were imprisoned by Galactus. Those who were imprisoned died shortly after the events of the Annihilation wave.
