Dilbert Trilby

Dilbert Trilby is a journalist who writes obituaries for the Daily Bugle. 

When writing obituaries, Dilbert calls unaccomplished people whose deaths left blank pages for him to fill in “blanks.”
 He has written obituaries for several super heroes, including Spider-man, Daredevil, She-hulk, the X-men, the Avengers and the Fantastic Four, only for them to be retracted after the heroes had been revealed to still be alive. 
His obituaries for the Fantastic Four and Avengers were used in Onslaught: Marvel Universe, but were retracted in Heroes Reborn: The Return.
 
In Spider-man: Funeral for an Octopus #1 he attended Dr. Octopus’s funeral, remarking that his obituary would finally be used.
