Doc was sent alongside the Guardsman Alpha Team to investigate a problem at Project PEGASUS. Finding reanimated corpses resembling the Squadron Supreme, Doc rushed to their aid believing they required medical assistance and was instead attacked and bitten by the corpse resembling Hyperion.
