Downtime

Creation

Downtown is a fictional character who first appeared in the Comico series titled the Elementals. The Elementals was a comic series set in a dark superhero universe. The series along with Freemason were first published in 1984 and created by Bill Willingham, for which he was both writer and artist. The first appearance of Freemason was in the pages of Elementals #20 – Supernature Summit – Part Four of the Gathering. Bill Willingham never finished the series and was replaced by another writer before the end. Comico’s publisher Andrew Rev purchased the Elementals property from Willingham in the 1990s and the character Downtime has not been used in publication since that time.

Origin

In the Comico comic series the Elementals, several supernaturals gathered together due to Monolith’s plans to halt the onset of an alien invasion. It was during these Oblivion Wars that Downtime first appeared and entered the ranks of the group Super Nation.

Appearance

Downtime is a petite young woman who wears a pink hued body suit with billowy sleeves. Black lines within the inner thighs go up to her mid waist, stopping in an arrow shape pointing to her mid chest. She wears small gloves and a half face mask of the same colors. She keeps her blond hair short cut above the ears.

Powers and Abilities

Downtime has the ability to slow down time around a single target or object. This ability has been called Chronokinesis and she believes that with more focus and experience these new-found abilities could expand into slowing down time itself, freezing entire groups of people and multiple objects.
