Origin
Very little is known about Dr E. Leopold Maas. At some point he acquired a doctorate degree, probably in psychology or parapsychology, and began work as a full-time researcher in the area of the paranormal.
Creation
Dr Maas was created by Jack Kirby. He made his first appearance in Spirit World #1.
Major Story Arcs
Horror Host
Dr Maas describes events and objects that hint at the supernatural or paranormal as a scholar lecturing to students. Occasionally he is called to investigate unusual occurrences, including instances of out of place objects, past life regression, and spontaneous human combustion.
Powers and Abilities
Dr Maas has no superhuman powers or abilities. He is very knowledgeable in the area of parapsychology.
