Creation
Dr. Kearney was created by Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV & Jason Fabok with his first (and only) appearance being in Batman Annual #1 – First Snow.

Kearney attempts to ask Mr. Freeze several questions and despite his prompts, Freeze ignores them. In order to get the crayon Kearney is writing with and thus escape, Freeze snaps Kearney’s neck, killing him.
