Dr. Nod was the developer of two dietary supplements, Dr. Nod’s Good Bod and Dr. Nod’s Hot Cod. Dr. Nod hired Big Bertha to do a before and after modeling shoot for his newest endeavor, a weight loss supplement. Bertha learns it is all a trap involving everyone there, including her agent, Jen. Jen injects Bertha with a tranquilizer and she wakes up in Dr. Nod’s lab after he had retrieved a DNA sample. Dr. Nod reveals he’s mixed her DNA with Mutant Growth Hormone and distilled them down to pill form and that he, Jen, the photographer, and the assistant had already taken the supplement as they all become similarly obese as Bertha.
In an effort to keep Bertha from taking him to the authorities, Dr. Nod took multiple bottles of the new diet pill, multiplying his body mass many times over. Being larger than Bertha even, Dr. Nod was successful in knocking her out and headed toward the city proper. After having fixed the Great Lakes Winnebago, Mr. Immortal and Flatman arrived on the scene just in time. Mr. I tried to talk Dr. Nod down but the much larger man simply stomped Mr. I into the grass.
