Draculass

Origin

Draculass, daughter of Dracula, was a young vampire who came to enjoy an extended stay at with her human cousin Maisie and Maisie’s parents when her father became … gravely indisposed. They seemed blissfully unconcerned as she proceeded to try and feed off of everyone in the neighborhood, perhaps because bad luck ensured she proved singularly unsuccessful in doing so.

Creation

Draculass was created by artist Terry Bave and first appeared in Monster Fun #1, 14th June 1975.

Character Development

Draculass continued her adventures through the entire run of Monster Fun, and survived her original title’s merger with Buster, though she only lasted in her new home for a little over a year, her strip coming to an end with the 10th December 1977 issue. During her run she occasionally targeted characters from other strips in the comic, but never succeeded in feeding off them.
