Drakken was a hitman who was hired by Edmund Gryzl, a “collector” who wanted the head of a man named Crazyface Burrell, an underworld figure with scars all over his face. Drakken threw a knife through Burrell’s girlfriend’s chest but was unable to take out his target. Batman challenged Drakken and defeated him in hand to hand combat. After some coercion, Drakken gave Batman details about Grzyl and his collection.
