Raymond Kane was a white boy born into the wealthy Kane industries. He was born a natural prodigy and was completing college level equations when he was in kindergarten. On his way back home from a dinner, his parents were mugged and shot by an insane criminal who then shot himself. Traumatized, he strived vengeance and trained his mind and body to become a vigilante. However he needed equipment. He used his mind and wealth to develop a costume and weapons which were inspired by the bat which flew overhead that night. He called himself Nightbat. However after he killed a thug on one of his Missions, the public despised him, and he vowed he would never kill again. Since the crowd still hated him he developed a newer costume which was even more reminiscent of the bat.
His first costume was very similar to the suit worn by Kyle Richmond of earth 31916. However his second suit was much closer to Batman, with a bat cowl, a gliding cape, and bulkier exterior.
His gadgets vary depending on the mission. But he usually carries an arsenal of bat shaped shuriken, a grappling hook, a laser beam, and his signature cape. He can spread it to allow gliding, or spread it further to act as wings and allow true flight. His boots can anchor him to the ground, his mouth piece can filiter water and other harmful gases to allow breathing in unsafe scenarios. His all black costume can seemingly meld into shadows which enhances stealth. The new suit also has an alloy of other gadgets. Including multiple types of vision, and an earwhich can communicate and control bats.
