Edward Kenway

Introduction

Edward James Kenway Welsh-born English privateer turned pirate. Born to English farmer parents Bernard Kenway and an unnamed mother in March 10th 1693 in Swansea, Wales. As a brash and impatient person Edward always got himself into the trouble and made a bad reputation as the angry brawler. At the age of ten Edward’s parents returned to their hometown Manchester while making Edward to leave all of his friends which made him far more cockier than he was. Always sought to acquire riches and fame, Edward joined as a privateer for Royal Navy and found himself in West Indies very soon. The Spanish wars with British forces ended with seducing Edward to money and glory as a pirate. As a pirate he found out about the struggles of Assassins and Templars. After a few years while ignoring Assassins yet fighting for them while helping his friends until realizing that his desire for fame and riches left none of his close friends and allies alive. After a decade in West Indies and his adventures Edward as a loyal member of Assassins left the Islands to return to England with the money he obtained during his career as a pirate. He received an apology from Robert Walpole and an estate in London. He married Tessa Stephenson-Oakley with whom he fathered a son named Haytham who will later grow to become arguably the greatest Templar Grand Master ever. He joined the British Brotherhood of Assassins and reached the rank of Master Assassin which led to him being the second in command of the Brotherhood. He continued his researches about First Civilizations and pieces of Eden since his encounters with Assassins and discovering The Observatory, he collected all of them in a journal. Later he was killed in 1735 during an ambush by mercenaries whom been hired by Reginald Birch, Grand Master Templar of the British rite in order to acquire the journal and claiming his daughter. He’s an ancestor of William and Desmond Miles through paternal line.
