Former Militar and Scientist, Edwig Cain was an expert in many scientific field, including some non conventional one [such as some form of necromancy]
Obsessed by his research of the “secret of superpower” for creating super-heroes and mutation, and frustrated by a life of failure, Edwig Cain resort to his last chance, using magic to manipulate a “semi-scientific energy”, the Meta-Impulse. In doing so, he involountary release the Nosferath and destroy the “International Hospital of Segrate”.
Instead of fight the cosmic demon, Edwig Cain made a pact with him, offering to the creature hide and protection in exchange of the secret of superpower. The Nosferath give him 5 baby, resurrected by it’s energy, and the baby would grown up as the member of Gemini.
Many years after that event, the Nosferath broke free from his hiding place, that Edwig Cain have transformed over the years into a containment prison. Kidnapping the scientist, the creature aim to capture and kill all the one that have been empowered by it’s “Meta-Impulse”.
Durring the final fight between the heroes and the Nosferath, Edwig Cain lost is life, drained by the power of the cosmic creature.
Note
For some unknown reason, Edwig Cain raises one of the “meta-impulse babies” as his own son, and so he share is surename with Gabriel Cain, Front, Leader of the Gemini, which result being his legal son.
