Eitri maintains a special friendship with the young hero Cannonball, as he had saved Eitri’s daughter from attacking villains. Cannonball was injured in the fight and Eitri made sure he was nursed back to health under the care of the dwarves.
Later Eitri assisted Cannonball when his team, the New Mutants, were organizing to save Odin from Hela’s attack.
