OriginÂ
The Demon known as Elder Demon was imprisoned in a crystal by an unnamed alien race and used as their power source. His power was so vast he powered the whole civilization for and unnamed amount of time. Eventually their comet passed close enough to the area where the two beings Galactus and Thanos both heard of its great power. Galactus sent the Silver Surfer out to retrieve the crystal while Thanos sent out White Raven to also try to retrieve it. The Silver Surfer beat White Raven to the area where he met the last member of the alien race. The Silver Surfer asked the being for the crystal. The alien being, who was the last survivor, gave the crystal to Silver Surfer without an argument and with much happiness. The White Raven eventually arrived and killed the last alien survivor, killing him before the Surfer’s eyes. As the alien died in the Surfers arms he told the Surfer that he was happy to be free, to be released to death. While all this was happening the crystal dropped, releasing the powerful Elder Demon. The Surfer, although angry at White Raven for her murderous act, saved her by bringing her out of the battle. The Surfer then came back and battled the demon. The Surfer’s attacks were useless as Elder Demon just shrugged off his attacks. Eventually White Raven came back with her ship and impaled it into the side of Elder Demon, killing him. She later explained that she used the energy of the exploding ship which caused a chain reaction, ultimately making Elder Demon’s own energy consume him.Â

Powers and Abilities
The Elder Demon exhibited high invulnerability by shrugging off the power cosmic from the Silver Surfer. He also demonstrated his strength to be at the Class 100 level of power. He could focus energy stored up inside him into destructive eye blasts. Lastly it can be said that Elder Demon obviously possessed great power for a being like Galactus to have wanted it for himself.
