Elysia could project illusions into the minds of others to manifest their greatest desires through an empathic rapport she creates with her victims. She paid a pivotal role in the battle between the Neo and the X-Men. She convinced her leader, Domina, that the X-Men were not the enemy. Since she (and incidentally, her brother, Tartarus) is of the mutant race known as The Neo, she and those like her were more evolved than even homo-sapien superior.
