The Green Lantern known only as the Emissary to Space Sector 3399 was sent by the Guardians on a mission to traverse an unknown void and expose Space Sector 3399 to the light of the Green Lantern Corps. The Emissary completed its mission within the millennial span of its life; passing its ring on the the Green Lantern Shilandra Thane before dying of old age.
