Fahir is the leader of the blue-skinned Makhna who claim to be the descendants of the Hindu god Ganesha, and live in the sacred dimension of Tamaonash, “the Battlelands”, which Shiva is said to have prepared for his children. Their capital is called Om. “Makhna” means “tuskless”, a denomination for young elephant males in India. This name also describes the difference between the humanoid Makhna and their elephant-like sister race, the Komeriah (“thoroughbred”). The Makhna have long kept the Komeriah as slaves. |
