Character Biography
Fantax is the alter ego of detective John Marquall. During the day, John works within the law to hunt down criminals, but at night he dones a skeleton costume and uses ruthlessness and violence against the criminal underground. At his side is Cleo.
Publication History
The character was the first of many new Italian comic characters inspired by Diabolik. His skeleton costume is something that would be used by other similar characters like Kriminal and Killing.
The original series Fantax ran for 17 issues. In November of 1965 the series was relaunched as Fantasm to avoid confusion with a 1940`s French comic book character named Fantax.
