Cron is “Father Nature“, a superpowered being who has the resources to give birth to life on any planet he finds suitable. He wields a “power prong“, which he plants upon the surface of the planet. This prong serves to regulate the planet’s atmospheric and other geological conditions to make it suitable for sustaining life.
Cron’s only appearance was in Superman #358 where he was looking to rectify the mistakes made by “Mother Nature” or “Nutra” on earth. His few transmutations appear deadly and compels Superman to trick him to leave earth as it is. Cron is not seen again.
