Fenton Pike was always an underachiever with big ideas and a disdain for responsibility. When his application to join the Science Police Academy was rejected, he blamed the entire city of Metropolis. He took a job as a janitor at the Science Police headquaters in order to be “on the inside” to somehow, someday, get revenge. When he finally got the opportunity to steal some explosives, he used the explosives in an attempt to extort the Science Police. The Legionnaires helped uncover Pike’s evil scheme and capture him, though Pike escaped by ducking in and through the Science Police Academy, a building he knew very well being the janitor.
During the escape, Fenton Pike stole a suit of radiation proof armour. Whilst in hiding, he formulated his next plan: to destroy Metropolis’ fusion powersphere in order to claim his ultimate revenge on the Science Police. Forcing his way into the powersphere, he entered the core and uncoupled a number of the control connections. The Legionnaires split into a number of parties to protect Metropolis from the sudden blackout that Fenton Pike had caused. Fenton Pike then headed for what he thought to be the safest place which was the sub-basement of the Legion headquaters. Once in he ran straight into a waiting Ultra Boy. Ultra Boy easily captured Fenton Pike. Once captured, Fenton Pike was sentenced to life imprisonment.
Fenton Pike has not been seen or heard of since.
