Fiddler

History

The Fiddler was a nazi operative who could somehow use the vibration and pitch of his fiddle for various offensive effects. He was sent to America in a plot to assassinate several anti-nazi senators. In this plot, other operatives would go to the homes of the politicians posing as butlers and rig the household radios with a device set to blow up as soon as it heard the Fiddler’s tune. The radios were also set up so they only broadcasted the Fiddler’s performance.

These senatorial murders caused Captain America and Bucky to investigate. Captain America soon discovered the portion of the plot involving the fake butlers and roused the secret of the Fiddler from one of them. Meanwhile, the Fiddler had captured Bucky and attempted to kill him. Unknown to the Fiddler, Bucky had plugged his ears so he couldn’t hear his notes. In frustration, the Fiddler continued to play higher and high notes until he fell victim to his own playing. It is unclear how at the time of his death his own playing killed him, while previously he seemed immune to it’s effects.
