A mass breakout occurs when a mystic hammer crashes into the Raft Maximum Security Prison off the coast of Manhattan. Misty Knight is coordinating her Heroes for Hire to help with the situation and the Shroud is already there trying to subdue as many escapees as possible. The Shroud comes into conflict with Firefight and an enhanced, bionic powerhouse named Mash-Up. Firefight tries to burn the Shroud while he is preoccupied with Mash-Up. The Shroud gets some assistance from Elektra and she knocks out Firefight with a dropkick.
Creation
Firefight was created by Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning and Kyle Hotz in 2011 and first appeared in Heroes for Hire # 9.
Powers & Abilities
Firefight has pyrotechnic abilities that allow his hands to be engulfed in flames and grant him the ability to shoot flame blasts for range attacks.
