Started as taxi driver who meets Pearl when she took his cab for going to work. Unlike his girlfriend he was actually smart.
In My Girl Pearl #7 his character was rewritten and split into two:
The taxi driver become Joe Grogan and appeared only in one story in My Girl Pearl #7 (rewritten Pearl’s first appearance from My Girl Pearl #1).
The boyfriend become Flash Nelson and he was only a little bit less “special” than his girlfriend.
