Origin
Flip was caught by Jommeke‘s uncle on Sint Filipus dag (Saint Philip’s day) and decided to name him Filipus. Filipus was sent to Jommeke as a present. Filipus came to the door, claiming to have learned the adress. He prefers to be called Flip and he and Jommeke soon became friends.
