Frank attempted to unlock the powers of the box along with other black magics as a young man and was consumed by it, tortured in Hell by the Cenobites after failing to figure out the puzzle, but thanks to his brother’s wife Julia, Frank was freed from the grip of the Cenobites, and skinned his own brother, taking his identity. But Frank’s niece Kristy turned his into the Cenobites, and as their hooks dug into him, Frank spoke his final words, “Jesus Wept”.
