Fred Andrews is the husband of Mary Andrews and father to Archie Andrews. He is middle-aged man, employed at mid-level management in an unnamed business firm. Plots featuring him tend to involve his attempts to cut down on family spending or set a proper example to his son. He seems a bit out of shape and thick around the waist but a number of stories have depicted him as stronger and more resourceful than his son.
