He was an astronaut who supposed to orbit around earth in a satellite for 50 hours. However, after only 30 hours his satellite unaccountably went earthward. He was missing and presumed dead for 10 days. However, remarkably he survived and was no worse for wear.
After Fred explained an odd dream he had regarding his adventure, his friend Barry Allen realized that it was no dream that he had in fact found an undersea city containing the beings known as Sarmites.
