Freddie Bell

He was unfailingly polite young boy. Despite his good intentions, Freddie ended up causing trouble or insulting people by failing to recognize the nature of a situation. For example mistaking a gentleman who had stuck in an open sewer hole for a beggar. He throws coins at him instead of assisting him in getting out. Naturally the genteleman feels mocked and moves to punish him.
