A character in Kodocha, Fuka meets Sana in the girls’ room on their first day of junior high. She and Sana become fast friends. Having lived in Osaka for many years, Fuka speaks with a Kansai accent.
Fuka went to kindergarten with Akito, where she clams he stole her first kiss (it was just on a dare, but it still scarred her for life).
Fuka grew up being close friends with a boy named Takashi. Everyone assumed they would start dating one day. But then Fuka told her friends about the time Akito kissed her in kindergarten, and when Takashi found out she’d already had her first kiss, he started ignoring her. Because of this, Fuka blames Akito for ruining her life.
She and Sana bond over their frustration with Akito, though Fuka also demonstrates some of the same courage that Sana does, by standing up to Akito when no one else will. Fuka guesses pretty quickly that Akito likes Sana, but when Sana goes on location to shoot a movie, and rumors fly that she is dating her costar, Naozumi, Fuka figures that Akito must be pretty bummed out, so she asks him to be her boyfriend. By the time Sana comes back and despells the rumors, Fuka has actually developed some feelings for Akito, and won’t break up with him, even when he and Sana find out that they both still like each other.
While Akito tries to maintain his relationship with Fuka, he starts getting into trouble at school and gets suspended, but won’t talk to her about anything. Tsuyoshi tells Fuka about what went on between Sana and Akito before Fuka arrived, and she realizes that Akito needs Sana, so she breaks up with him.
Free from a relationship, Fuka decides to focus on gymnastics.
Personality:
Fuka is sassy and self-assured. She actually reminds Akito of Sana a little bit, as they are both brave enough to stand up to him. She is quick-witted and good at arguing, even leaving Sana speechless at times. She is not without her insecurities, as she worried what her former crush, Takashi might think if she showed up to hang out with him and his girlfriend without a date of her own.
