Origin
Fuss Pot, the “fussiest girl in the world”, was a teenage girl who constantly found the world a source of annoyance, thanks to her constant demands and her forever deeming that nothing was ever done the way she wanted it, and nobody else could do things right. Her put-upon parents, teachers, and other victims of her fussing, tended to cave to her demands initially, in the hopes of a quiet life, but inevitably, after she kept complaining even after she got her way and they bent over backwards trying to please her, the targets of her fussing would snap and inflict a karmically apt punishment on her.
Creation
Created by Norman Mansbridge, Fuss Pot debuted in Knockout issue 1, June 1971, and appeared throughout that title’s run. She survived Knockout’s 1973 merger into Whizzer and Chips, and that title’s subsequent merger into Buster in 1990, making it all the way to the final issue of that title in 2000, though latterly only in reprints, an impressive run of around 29 years.
