As an imperial snitch, Garindan roams Mos Eisley, lurking in the shadows and listening in on conversations. When something seems as though it would be of interest to his Imperial employers, Garindan contacts them, under the assumption he will receive a fee for his efforts. Garindan was the one who alerted the Empire to Han Solo and Chewbacca helping Luke, Obi-Wan, and the Droids escape Tatooine. Though for the most part Garindan just turns in small time crooks, smugglers, spice dealers, and low level Rebel agents.
