General Theodore Hellpop was the military leader of the planet Vradic. When the planet erupted into civil war, he ordered the planet destroyed, and escaped with his wife to the distant moon of Ylum where his son Horatio was born. Horatio was guided by The Merk to find out what his father had done, and when Horatio finally came into his powers, Theodore became Nexus’ first execution.
