Byron Jones was a security guard at a nuclear plant who lived only for his son. Unbeknownst to him, his daily exposure to radiation from the nuclear reactor gradually gave him superhuman levels of strength and invulnerability.
One day he found his neighbor’s dog had killed his son. Enraged he killed the dog, the dog’s owners and his wife for their negligence. When the police arrived, he killed them.
He entered a life of crime and joined Tao’s organization working his way up to be a Torpedo. Holden Carver is his best friend in Tao’s organization.
He chose the name “Genocide” because he incorrectly thought it meant killing all people, instead of killing one group of people.
