George R. Blake is Daphne Blake’s father.
In the series A Pup Named Scooby Doo, we learn his name and that he made his fortune as the creator of the product “Blake’s Bubbles”, though the series Mystery Incorporated gives the Blake family a more “old money” feel. More credence is given to the “old money” theory by the number of castles in the family, in various episodes and movies.
A few years before A Pup Named Scooby Doo, the author Horace J. Elias wrote a series of Scooby-Doo books where he uses George R. Blake (referred to only as Daphne’s Father) as a plot device to get the Mystery Incorporated from their hometown, to the various places the mysteries took place, California, Africa, etc. George would gather the team and then explain why they need to go solve the mystery.
